The University of Santo Tomas launches its Campus Wi-Mesh network

The University of Santo Tomas (UST) launched their Campus Wi-Mesh network at the Plaza Mayor amidst enthusiastic faculty, students, and guests. The wireless internet access boasts of “wireless access anytime, anywhere.” Indeed, wi-fi access points are strategically located across different areas of the campus for a truly convenient wireless connection.

The Wi-Mesh network was designed and implemented by Trends & Technologies, Inc., a Silver Partner of Cisco Systems, with the active participation of UST’s own STePs (Santo Tomas e-Service Providers). This is the first of its kind in the Philippines and second in SouthEast Asia.
